Presented series of magnetic strainer MOS is the complementary part of the system approach in removing impurities and prevents from their formation in the heat distribution networks’ exploitation process on the way from producer to individual consumer. Magnetic strainers MOS have been designed to eliminate mechanical impurities that are in the lattice water jet that is directed to the specific feeding area (heat centres). The placement of the MOS strainers on power leads (bus) or on certain distribution network can be realized in series or parallel system on so called shunt. The choice of the system depends on the nominal efficiency of the heat distribution network. In order to achieve good work effects of the strainer, in the parallel system high participation of water directed to the shunt that reaches 50% of nominal efficiency of the heat distribution network should be taken into consideration.

In the parallel system the strainer of MOS type can easily work on the shunt without necessity to apply circulating pump due to the small hydraulic resistance of the strainer. To optimum eliminate solid suspension from power lead, the shunt should be connected in their lower part. Each system of connecting the strainers, which is series or parallel, must be equipped in necessary control valves. The number of valves and the place of their situating should enable temporary disconnection of the strainer in order to clean it without handicapping the flow in the power lead. Magnetic strainer of MOS type should be installed in the heat centres or heat chambers on the power leads as well as on return conductor.
